Prithviraj Sukumaran, a well-known actor, is currently busy promoting his upcoming film, The Goat Life. He’s actively engaged in Telugu promotions in Hyderabad, giving numerous interviews. During one such interview, he was asked about his views on the Telugu remakes of Malayalam movies such as Pawan Kalyan’s Bheemla Nayak, Chiranjeevi’s God Father, and Sudheer Babu’s Hunt, which were originally Ayappanum Koshiyum, Lucifer, and Mumbai Police, respectively.

Prithviraj mentioned that due to his directing commitments, he hasn’t had much time to watch films, but he did manage to catch some parts of God Father and Bheemla Nayak. Surprisingly, he was unaware that Mumbai Police was remade into Hunt in Telugu. While he knew about the remakes of Ayappanum Koshiyum and Lucifer, he hadn’t watched them yet.

What’s intriguing is Prithviraj’s perspective on the future of remakes. Prithviraj Sukumaran shared an interesting view, saying, “I think we’re entering a time where remakes won’t matter much. Nowadays, movies are dubbed into many languages. So, there’s no need to remake ‘The Goat Life’ because it’s coming out in different languages at once. I don’t think there will be many remakes in the future.”

Prithviraj’s comments have sparked discussions among netizens, with some interpreting them as indirect criticism towards actors like Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan, who continue to opt for remakes even in the era of OTT platforms. Some fans agree with Prithviraj, stating that reducing the frequency of remakes could be beneficial for both the industry and the audience.
