Seems like Nagarjuna is in no mood to slow down even after turning 60. While he’s currently a part of an indie-spirited actioner Wilddog which was halted owing to the pandemic, he has joined hands with National-award winning filmmaker Praveen Sattaru for another slick action entertainer to be shot on a grand scale. Narayan Das, Puskur Ram Mohan Rao, and Sharrath Marar, who’re also bankrolling Naga Shaurya’s next, are producing this film that’ll go on floors soon.
Praveen Sattaru was in consideration to do multiple films, one with Nithiin and another ambitious sci-fi film with Ram Pothineni. However, neither materialised. He went onto direct the prequel for Baahubali for Netflix along with Dev Katta, which is yet to witness daylight. Amidst the uncertainty, it’s welcoming that a project with Nagarjuna has materialised for the filmmaker who’s made promising films like Chandamama Kathalu, Garuda Vega, LBW in the past. And it seems like the badminton icon Gopichand biopic would take time to get rolling.
Given Nagarjuna has always been open to experimenting with his script choices, it’ll be interesting to see how the young director would go onto present him. The film’s shooting is slated to begin shortly, while the details surrounding the other cast and crew are awaited.
