Filmmaker Prashanth Neel achieved fame after his film KGF starring Yash gained Pan-India success. The film released in Telugu back in 2018 was also well received making the director an instant go-to director for many star heroes. Many names from Mahesh Babu to Jr NTR did rounds that he would be teaming up, however no news was officially announced.
While the speculations refuse to die down even now, Prashanth’s tweet has now added fuel to the ongoing rumours. On Jr NTR’s 37th birthday, the director took to Twitter to wish him. He wrote, “So….finally I know how it feels like to sit next to a nuclear plant….next time bringing my radiation suit to be around all that crazy energy @tarak9999. Happy birthday brother!!! Have a safe and great day. See you soon…#HappyBirthdayNtr #stayhomestaysafe.” (sic)
This left netizens go gaga, and many concluded the tweet as a confirmation that Prashanth would be collaborating with Tarak. Buzz has it that the film will be made on huge canvass with a budget over Rs 150 Cr and will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers

Meanwhile, Kannada fans of Prasanth are left in ambiguity. Since the irector is expanding his horisons and shifting his base to reach out to for his work, many are worries that he may stop filming in his own mother-tongue. Clarifying over this, he said, “Kannada is in my DNA and it is here that I earned name. So right now my focus is all on KGF: Chapter 2 and I cannot confirm on any future projects. But I assure the next film I make will be in Kannada.” Well, we just hope Prasanth continues his fan base in Kannada and in Telugu too.
