We have read, heard umpteen stories of children of auto rickshaw drivers, farmers, vegetable vendors etc getting top most rank in high school, colleges and other professional courses. The stories of these children are confined to the newspapers for a day or two and they remain unsung. Recently too, there was news that a 22 year old young man would sleep at the bus stands and became a scientist, who built 600 drones from e waste and won medals in international competitions. One really has to go very far to achieve such dreams.
ZEE5 has cropped up with such a great story ‘Pareeksha: The Final Test’ – The story that will raise your spirits to think big and dream big. Inspired by real events, Pareeksha is the story of a rickshaw puller named Buchchi, who dreams of giving his son a good education. The lengths to which he goes to make his dream a reality form the rest of the story. The film makes a sharp comment on our education system. ZEE5 said, “Can an ordinary rickshaw driver help his son get the education he needs to unlock his dreams? Multi-award winning director Prakash Jha presents this beautiful and heart-wrenching tale in #PareekshaOnZEE5, premieres 6th August.” The film, which stars Priyanka Bose, Adil Hussain, Sanjay Suri, and child artiste Shubham Jha was screened at the 50th International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
