In a thrilling new development, the entertainment industry is buzzing with news of a major reunion. Prabhu Deva is set to join forces once again with a beloved actor after 27 years. Reportedly, Kajol and filmmaker Prabhudeva are set to reunite after 27 years for an upcoming high-budget action thriller. This new film marks a significant collaboration as Charan Tej Uppalapati, who will be making his Bollywood debut with this project, is directing it.
Charan Tej Uppalapati is busy bringing his vision to life, and the film features a stellar cast including Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sen Gupta, and Aditya Seal. Notably, this project is Kajol’s first collaboration with Naseeruddin Shah. The initial schedule of the film has been completed, and the makers are now preparing to release the teaser soon.
To ensure the project stands out, the filmmakers have enlisted top industry talent. GK Vishnu, known for his work in “Jawan,” is the cinematographer, while Navin Nooli, the editor behind “Pushpa 2,” will handle editing. The screenplay is crafted by Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana, and Saahi Suresh is responsible for the visual aesthetics as the production designer.
The film’s music will be composed by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who previously composed the soundtrack for “Animal,” a film featuring Ranbir Kapoor that was well-received for its music. Specific details about the plot and title are being kept secret for now. However, the combination of an impressive cast and a high-caliber technical crew is expected to make this film a highly anticipated release.
The last time Kajol and Prabhudeva worked together was 27 years ago in the 1997 Tamil film “Minsara Kanavu,” directed by Rajiv Menon. This film, which also starred Arvind Swamy, was a major success. It was later dubbed in Hindi as “Sapnay” and featured the popular song “Chanda Re.” The storyline follows a convent student, Priya, who dreams of becoming a nun, while her childhood friend Thomas tries to win her love.
In addition to this reunion, Kajol has several projects lined up. She recently appeared in an episode of “Lust Stories 2” and will soon be seen in “Do Patti” alongside Kriti Sanon, “Sarzameen” with Ibrahim Ali Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and a horror film titled “Maa,” which is currently in production.
Meanwhile, Prabhudeva is working on “The Greatest of All Time,” a film featuring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. This film is set to be released in theaters in September this year.
