Pooja Hegde has touched the peak of her career with the Allu Arjun starrer ‘Ala Vaikuntapurramuloo’. Later, she did back-to-back films which went on to fail miserably. The pandemic, of course, has changed everything in Tollywood.
Hegde had once charged around Rs 4 crores remuneration for earlier films. Now it is getting difficult for her to land female lead characters because the new crop of heroines took her place in the industry.
For example, Sreeleela is one of the competitors for senior actors in Telugu cinema. Producers are also keen on looking at young talent rather than roping in top stars like Pooja Hegde.
Hegde has only one untitled film with Superstar Mahesh Babu currently which is being directed by Trivikram.
