But the audience has still given a thumbs up to the film as the occupancy was quite good for weeks together. The Telugu version of Ponniyin Selvan was an average fare but the Tamil version made over 200 crores worldwide.
Now the time has come for the OTT release of the film. Amazon Prime has grabbed the rights of this film and it will stream the historical drama on the 18th of November. PS 1 featured Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Karthi, Trisha and Jayam Ravi. Rahman scored the music.
