Vijay Setupathi’s Laabam is in the final stages of the shoot. Shruti Haasan is making her comeback to Kollywood cinema with Laabam. The film’s shoot is currently taking place in and around the Dharmapuri district in Tamilnadu. A lot of fans are thronging on to the sets to catch a glimpse of their favorite actors. Most of those coming to the shoot are not following safety precautions, resulting in questions about actors’ and technicians’ safety. To control the fans on the sets, the production unit has reportedly sought help from police officials.

The film unit has sought police protection to control the fans and ensure the social distancing norms on the film’s sets. Earlier, Shruti Haasan raised concern over the safety precautions on the film’s sets. She tweeted, “COVID is a serious health risk everyone! The pandemic is not over! I as a person and an actor have the right to prioritise my safety and health if protocols are not followed! Just saying.” There were reports that Shruti has walked out of the sets, but there is no confirmation.SP Jananathan directs Laabam. The movie is based on agriculture.
