The phone tapping case is becoming more complicated as the police investigate further to uncover the truth. The police report named former SIB chief and IPS officer T Prabhakar Rao, DSP Praneeth Rao, Taskforce OSD Radhakishan, Bhujanga Rao, Tirupatanna, and two other private individuals as suspects. Prabhakar Rao and Radhakishan are currently on the run, with lookout notices issued against them.
According to Praneeth Rao’s statement during interrogation, Prabhakar Rao orchestrated the illegal phone tapping operation, and the entire team acted under his orders. The main targets of the phone tapping were TPCC president and Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, as the BRS was in power at the time.
The police also searched the home of a private individual named Sravan Kumar, who was accused of aiding Praneeth Rao. Praneeth Rao confessed to destroying the phone tapping device, which has now been damaged. Efforts are underway to retrieve information from the device, and the hard disk has been seized for investigation.
The issuance of lookout notices means that the accused cannot stay abroad for more than six months, nor can they extend their visas. This development adds to the urgency of resolving the case.
As the investigation continues, more details may emerge, shedding light on the extent of the illegal phone tapping operation and those involved. The authorities are committed to uncovering the truth and bringing those responsible to justice.
