Rajinikanth’s Petta Movie Review
After 2.0 Rajinikanth is back with Petta. The film after battling huge controversies has finally released in Telugu. The film has released in few screens than expected. So how has the films fared. has Rajini’s charm weaved magic again is to be seen.
Story:
Kali (Rajinikanth) works as a hostel warden. There he gets introduced (Simran) who works as a pranic healer. One fine day, Simran comes to know that Kali’s original name is Petta who has come from Uttar Pradesh. What are the circumstances that made Petta to take up Kali forms the crux of the story.
Performances:
Rajinikanth once again impressed with his stylish, massive action. Although not much of a chance for the performance, it is not for the styles that the fans are accustomed to. There are two heroines, but no one is great enough. Even though the villains are not as strong as the characters, Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazhudin Siddiqui do not remember the characters. There is nothing to speak about the other roles of Rajani Wonmen Shola’s role in the film. Sushikumar, Bobby Simha, Megha Akash and Naag are impressed by their role.
Analysis:
The film is directed by Petta Pakka Commercial Formula and the heroine has to hide his identity in a different area. A lot of films have come in South with a concept of such a big action flashback. Rajini also made such films in the past. Director Karthik Subbaraj once again added Rajani style to the same formula. Karthik, who led the innings twisted to the first, struggled somewhat. There is nothing new in the story of Rajani’s image. It is disappointing for Telugu audiences to fully comply with Tamil Nativity. Anirudh’s songs are tuned to Tamil audience and it is difficult to impress Telugu Aadiians. Background music is superb. Tiru cinematography is a rich look. Editing and production values are up to the level of the film
Positives:
Rajinikanth
Background music
Some twists
Negatives:
Routine story
Second Half
Tamil Nativity
