Pelli SandaD marks the debut of Roshan Srikanth into films. The film also has Raghavendra Rao in a crucial role. Read our review to find out if the film has any juice in it or not.
Story
Vasishta(Roshan Srikanth) falls in love with Sahasra(Sree Leela). The love grows but like in every Telugu film, the girl’s father(Prakash Raj) opposes the relationship and fixes Sahasra’s marriage with Chintu(Vennela Kishore). How Vashista solves all his problems and wins the love is the simple and basic story of Pelli Sanda D.
Performances
Roshan Srikanth makes an impressive debut and he has all the trappings to become a handsome actor in the days to come. He can dance, fight and his screen presence is also good. But he should improve a lot with his dialogue delivery. Sree Leea is also impressive and for the first film, she was good. Raghavendra Rao also makes his acting debut and he has also done what is required. Prakash Raj is cool as usual and there are so many character actors who ham to no extent.
Analysis
Right from the word go, Pelli Sanda D reminds you of the films of Raghavendra Rao. This film is also stuck in the same era and has the same plot. We wonder why the director even chose to make this story.
The film has a very old story and the conflict point is also very dull and has no magic at all. The lady director has re-hashed all of Raghavendra Rao’s old drama and made this film with no logic in mind.
The manner in which songs are shot also gives us a boredom feeling. Roshan Srikanth is the only solace of the film which looks good when is on the screen. But the rest of the time, Pelli Sanda D has no Sanda D and is a bore fest
Bottom Line – Boring Sanda D
