Not just on films but Pawan Kalyan fans’ eyes are on his political career as well. The Telugu Desam Party headed by N Chandrababu Naidu and Jana Sena Party led by power star Pawan Kalyan have more or less firmed up the seat-sharing for the upcoming assembly elections in Andhra Pradesh.
The Jana Sena Party presented its list of 27 seats it would contest, along with three Lok Sabha seats – Anakapalli, Machilipatnam and Rajampet, to the TDP. Naidu, however, has reportedly agreed to allocate 24 seats to the Jana Sena.Similarly, there is an agreement between the two parties on the two Lok Sabha seats – Anakapalli and Machilipatnam, negotiations are still going on with regard to Rajampet seat, sources said.
According to the party sources, Pawan Kalyan is planning to contest from two seats – Bhimavaram, where he had lost in 2019 elections and also Tirupati. He would dump Gajuwaka seat this time. A final decision is yet to be announced.
The party is expected to make some changes in the seats, depending on the candidates to be finalised by the YSR Congress party. But according to the reports doing rounds in the party circles, the candidates finalised by Jana Sena so far are:
Lokam Naga Madhavi (Nellimarla), Padala Aruna (Gajapathiangaram), Sundarapu Satish (Gajuwaka), Panchakarla Sandeep (Bheemili) or Panchakarla Ramesh Babu (Pendurthi), S Vijaya Kumar (Yelamanchili), Pithani Balakrishna (Mummidivaram).
Bathula Balarama Krishna (Rajanagaram), Kandula Durgesh (Rajahmundry-rural), Pantham Nanaji (Kakinada-rural), Udaya Srinivas (Pithapuram), Chikkam Dorababu (Ramachandrapuram), Palemsetti Surya Chandra Rao (Jaggampet), DMR Sekhar (Razole), Vidavada Ramachandra Rao (Tanuku), Bollisetti Srinivas (Tadepalligudem)
Bommidi Nayakar (Naraspuram), Pothina Mahesh (Vijayawada-west), Nadendla Manohar (Tenali) and Amanchi Srinivasa Rao (Giddalur).
The TDP chief is said to be in talks with the party ticket aspirants in the constituencies to be allotted to Jana Sena to convince them that they would be suitably accommodated in various positions, including MLC or MP seats, if the TDP comes to power, sources added.
