Pawan Kalyan in his 12-point agenda stated about some of the manifestations which he will provide. “The bitter reality we are faced with today, however, is that various political parties have blown holes into this sacred Preamble. They have distanced people from comprehensive development and progress. They have torn the society apart economically, socially and politically. In the name of caste, creed, region and religion they have created divisiveness and discrimination between the people,” the document reads.
“It is an insult to the democratic process that the enthusiastic ways in which political parties announce their manifestos before every election is conveniently forgotten soon after; and they do not even, for mere obligatory reasons, give them a second glance. There seems to be not even a grain of accountability in any political leader,” it states.
“The TDP government has completely subverted and sabotaged the Land Acquisition Act of 2013. As a result, they rendered land-owning farmers to landless unemployed. On the same lines, the BJP has backtracked on their promise of offering Special Category Status and backstabbed the people of Andhra Pradesh, after making an express promise before the elections. In what way these actions correspond to the spirit of our constitution?” it added.
