An Early Morning tragic incident where 14 coaches of Patna-Indore Express train were derailed, has saddened the entire nation. This unfortunate incident has happened at 3 AM, near Pukhrayan which is 100 KMS away from Kanpur. Over 63 people were reported dead and 150 were terribly injured in this mishap. The death toll is rising up every hour.
The relief operation has started and the passengers are being sent to their destinations through private buses. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is monitoring the situation and he has spoken with Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu regarding the incident. Suresh Prabhu has ordered an inquiry into the incident. Even Prime Minster Modi has expressed his condolences this morning through his Twitter handle. All the trains passing through this route have been rescheduled and some of them are canceled.
