Paradise vs Peddi: Will Nani back down?
Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi has started creating buzz after the release of its glimpse video. The makers have officially announced that the movie will hit screens on March 27, 2026, which is also Charan’s birthday. However, the surprising part is that Nani has already scheduled his film Paradise to release just a day earlier—on March 26, 2026.
This sets the stage for a potential box office clash. But this isn’t just about two actors competing. Both Peddi and Paradise are connected to Sukumar’s creative circle. While Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Paradise is being made by Srikanth Odela, who gained fame with Dasara.
The music battle is also interesting—Paradise has Anirudh composing the tunes, while Peddi features music by the legendary A.R. Rahman. Despite this, Peddi seems to have a clear advantage. The film is already 25% complete, while Paradise hasn’t even started shooting.
From a business perspective, Ram Charan has more reach and star power than Nani. Even if Paradise has strong content, it may struggle to get enough theatres during release. Also, Srikanth Odela, the director of Paradise, is working on another project with Chiranjeevi which could make things more delicate.
Though Paradise was announced before Peddi, release plans often change in the industry based on market strategy. Nani, known for being smart with his decisions, is also producing Paradise himself. This gives him more flexibility to possibly avoid a clash and choose a more favourable release date.
So, while fans may expect a direct competition between Ram Charan and Nani, the situation might change closer to release. Nani is unlikely to risk a head-on clash with a big-budget film like Peddi, especially when practical concerns come into play.
