At a time when public is questioning the safety measures taken by Hyderabad police, her comes a relief for both the cops and the public. The overall crime rate in Hyderabad witnessed a three per cent drop rate in 2019 in comparison to last year. However, the crime against women has increased.
The crime against women saw a slight increase with 2,305 cases reported this year as against 2,286 in 2018. Similarly, outraging the modesty of a woman and dowry deaths saw a significant increase by 21 per cent and 11 per cent respectively.
