It has been a while since Akhil Akkineni’s Most Eligible Bachelor went on the floors. The shoot of this film was supposed to be completed long back but it is unable to get done due to multiple reasons. If the ongoing grapevine is anything to go by, the over-budget issues are now troubling the producers. Most Eligible Bachelor is being directed by Bommarillu Bhaskar and produced by GA2 Pictures. Apparently, the budget for this film was increased by more than 50% of the proposed amount.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the business model in Tollywood. The exhibitors and distributors are not showing interest to spend more amount on films. This has now become a worry for the makers of this movie. Initially, they have planned to release the movie during Sankranthi. But there are a lot of works left to be done and it may release only during summer. It seems that the team recently re-shot a few scenes. It was also one of the reasons for the extra budget expenses. We have to see how Allu Aravind and his team manage to recover money for this movie.
