Every stereotype is born out of a success story and Raj Tarun’s career is a proper example of that. But for Kumari 21F, all of the actor’s films more or less have been rom-coms, precisely within the mindless comic caper-meets-romance space. While a few clicked, audiences were tired of the rehash of the same dish beyond a point – the fate of films like Rangula Ratnam, Rajugadu, Lover Andhagaadu, Iddari Lokam Okkate says it all. Orey Bujjiga proves that Raj Tarun is yet to move on from that zone, but that he’s in safer hands of director Vijay Kumar Konda.
The trailer of Orey Bujjiga starring Raj Tarun, Malvika Nair and Hebah Patel had released earlier today and was anything but refreshing. The story looks like a confusion comedy in the making, with a mistaken identity situation thrown into the mix. Madhunandan, Saptagiri feature in the cast to provide a few laughs. The humour sounds loud and screechy – wonder why everyone is shouting at the top of their voices and slapping each other.
The presence of Vani Vishwanath in Telugu films, after Jaya Janaki Nayaka, still is an aspect of interest. However, producers must understand that audience are tired of seeing the same old tried-and-tested templates in every second film and there is no dearth of viewing options for spectators on the digital medium. If the aim of this trailer was to create some interest surrounding the digital release on Aha this October 2, Orey Bujjiga doesn’t even come close.
