Kanika Dhillon yesterday expressed concern over actress Rhea Chakraborty still being in jail. Another person, Swara Bhaskar too wants Rhea out of the jail now that AIIMS report is out and murder of Sushant Singh Rajput is ruled out. Are these people and their friends having withdrawal symptoms because the ‘maal’ supply is choked?
For all those who aren’t well versed with the proceedings, Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend Rhea and her brother Showik Chakraborty are among the 20 persons who have been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) as part of the probe surrounding the drugs angle. As of now there is no mention of linking them to abetment of suicide or misappropriation of wealth by the CBI or the ED.
The two investigation agencies have clearly mentioned that the probe is on and they haven’t ruled out homicide. Action is being taken post Dr Sudhir Gupta’s leaks and that has nothing to do with the drugs case in which Rhea and company are behind the bars. Today the siblings judicial custody will end and their lawyer will work towards getting a bail. It is the NCB that asks for extension of judicial custody. Hope this answers Kanika’s doubts.
