Taking the total tally of COVID-19 at Osmania Medical College (OMC) to 12 ,five more medicos tested positive. The cases surfaced after 296 medicos staying at OMC hostels were screened. The sample results of 100 students have come out, while the remaining will be out on Wednesday.
The medico Covid cases have created panic among students as it has come at a time when they were preparing for their PG examinations which are scheduled to take place from June 28. Amidst this, Telangana Junior Doctors’ Association (TJUDA) has asked to postpone the exams. It is to be seen how the state government would react ok the situation and whether it will take the medicos request on examination postponement.
