Not Thalapathy Vijay: Here’s who portrayed his younger version in The GOAT:

Thalapathy Vijay’s latest film, The Greatest of All Time (The GOAT), directed by Venkat Prabhu, has made a huge impact at the box office, crossing ₹200 crores globally. Starring Meenakshi Choudhary as the female lead, the movie has set new records, especially in Tamil Nadu. On Saturday alone, the film earned ₹27.50 crore in the state, surpassing Vijay’s previous hit LEO. After three days, the total earnings in Tamil Nadu stood at ₹79.25 crore, with the extended weekend figures expected to be between ₹107 and ₹110 crore.

One of the biggest surprises in The GOAT was the introduction of a younger version of Vijay’s character. While many expected Vijay to play this part through digital de-aging, it was actually actor Ayaz Khan who portrayed the younger version. Ayaz expressed his gratitude to the director, Venkat Prabhu, and Vijay for giving him this unique opportunity to be part of such a massive project.

Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film features a stellar cast, including Sneha, Prasanth, Prabhudeva, Jayaram, and Mohan. Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the film’s music, which added to its success and grandeur.

Though The GOAT has been performing extremely well in Tamil Nadu, its reception in Kerala and Telugu-speaking states has been more modest. Despite this, the film is slowly gaining traction in northern India, even though it didn’t have a wide release in national theater chains due to an early OTT release. The film’s three-day total across India reached ₹122.50 crore, and it’s predicted to hit ₹160 crore by the end of the extended weekend.

Internationally, The GOAT is also holding its own, particularly in the United States, where it is competing closely with LEO. In just four days, the overseas earnings were estimated at USD 14 million, pushing the global total to ₹275 crore.
