Bigg Boss Tamil Season 8 Host: Kamal Haasan who has hosted Bigg Boss Tamil since it started seven years ago, is taking a break from the show. According to trustable reports, Vijay Sethupathi might replace him as the host for the upcoming eighth season. However, this is not yet confirmed.
Kamal Haasan announced his departure with a heartfelt message, thanking viewers for their support over the years. He explained that he needed to take a break due to his other film projects. Although he described it as a “small break,” it’s uncertain when he will return to the show.
There was some speculation that Silambarasan TR might host the new season since he previously hosted the OTT version of Bigg Boss, called Bigg Boss Ultimate. Kamal Haasan had hosted this OTT version initially but had to leave due to scheduling conflicts with his film, Vikram.

Vijay Sethupathi, who is a leading candidate to replace Haasan, was last seen in the film Maharaja this year. In the movie, he plays a barbershop owner and single father whose life changes when a significant steel garbage bin goes missing after a burglary. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan, who was last seen in Indian 2, is busy working on his next project, Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam. He is also preparing for Indian 3, which is expected to be released in 2025.
