Twenty years have flown by since the release of the iconic film Aarya, marking a significant milestone in the world of cinema. To honor this remarkable journey, the team behind Aarya organized a special event, inviting the cast and crew of the film including Allu Arjun, Dil Raju and Sukumar.
During the event, Dil Raju conveyed his appreciation, remarking, “Aarya has been a transformative journey for us. It not only brought acclaim to our team but also launched several of us into the limelight. From myself as the producer, Sukumar as the director, Devi Sri Prasad as the music director, to Allu Arjun as the lead actor, this project unearthed many talents. Such influential films, capable of propelling individuals to fame, are seldom seen, perhaps even beyond India.”
During a lighthearted moment, Sukumar revealed an interesting detail: Allu Arjun was not the first hero to whom he narrated the Aarya story. He recalled pitching the story to Prabhas initially, as suggested by Dil Raju, but both Sukumar and Prabhas had doubts about the fit of the role during the narration.
Eventually, Sukumar decided to approach Allu Arjun for the lead role. Although Dil Raju initially expressed skepticism about this decision, Sukumar remained confident in his choice, believing in Allu Arjun’s potential. These behind-the-scenes moments were shared jovially on stage by Sukumar and Allu Arjun during Aarya 20 years event.
