Megastar Chiranjeevi and filmmaker Koratala Siva’s Acharya is among the highly anticipated films in Tollywood. The film was eyeing for festive release in the first half of 2021. However, the makers have to look out for possible date as City is witnessing high number of coronavirus cases. Already two Telugu actors have tested positive for COVID and this has sent alarm bells for many in the industry. More so Rajamouli who was supposed to have test shoot on June 25 at Gandipet got it cancelled for the second time in the wake of rising cases. Meanwhile, with only 40% of shoot completed, its tough going for Acharya to resume shoot in precarious conditions.

On the other side, Pawan Kalyan’s comeback film Vakeel Saab has a bright chance. Directed by Venu Sriram, it was supposed to hit the screens on May 15th. However, with only 35-more days of shoot pending for the Telugu remake and Agnyaathavaasi actor who has only 15-days call sheet, the team can wrap up its post-production easily. With this, Vakeel Saab joins the Sankranthi race of 2021 while Chiranjeevi’s Acharya release date gets postponed.
