Yesterday, at a private gathering involving director Gunasekhar’s staff and the media was held and this time Samantha stole the show. A bespectacled Samantha came in a white saree with a rosary in hand and was quietly doing Japa on the stage. She also broke into tears when Gunashekar commenced his speech. Film industry insiders say that though she is going through a rough patch, it is a pure publicity stunt to kick start promotions for Sakunthalam. She did this for the cameras before Yashoda and the move failed. The film tanked. The trailer of Sakunthalam is also not getting the required response for its bad VFX and in the coming days, one expects a better promo to inject confidence in the buyers.
