The big day is set for Nithiin as the actor is all set marry his fiancee Shalini Kandukuri on July 26. The duo was supposed to marry on April 16, Dubai, but the destination wedding got wrench with the unprecedented COVID. However, with the pandemic not getting abate any sooner, the elders of both the families have finalised the wedding date as July 26 at a farmhouse in the City.
As the Ashada Masam ends, the wedding festivities will begin. Meanwhile, with COVID on the rise, the big cermeony will see a low gathering with close family members and friends in attendance. A source informs that the wedding celebrations will be followed as per government guidelines. Incidentally, Nithiin’s sister and producer Nikhitha Reddy has not confirmed the wedding date, saying “The marriage date is not yet finalised and we will fix it soon.”
Nithiin on how he met Shalini
The Bheeshma star opens that he met Shalini through mutual friends, saying “We met about eight years back but we are in a relationship for the past five years.Through common friends we met. But I neither tried to woo her nor she did. It just happened as we have a good understanding and trust towards each other.” When quizzed him how he proposed her, he said it wasn’t a filmy style but a quirky one which evoked laughter from Shalini who immediately said yes. He said, “I didn’t want to do the routine way of proposing going knees down and so I proposed to her on one leg and she said yes.”
