Chandramukhi 2 is an eagerly awaited pan-Indian horror-comedy film directed by P. Vasu, who also helmed the first instalment with superstar Rajinikanth. In this latest chapter, Bollywood’s controversial actress, Kangana Ranaut, takes on the title role alongside Raghava Lawrence as the male lead.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut, along with her team, attended a press event in Hyderabad to promote the Telugu version of the movie.
Director P. Vasu revealed the reason behind the movie’s delay. Initially scheduled for release on September 15, the film’s release date was pushed to September 28. He explained that during post-production, they encountered a setback as they lost over 480 crucial shots, necessitating extra time to locate and adequately incorporate these missing segments into the film.
While this explanation may sound plausible, some netizens questioned whether it was the actual cause of the delay. They speculated that the delay resulted from irregular planning, especially considering the project’s pan-Indian scope. Many found it difficult to accept this explanation and poked fun at the director and the rest of the team.
Nevertheless, a recent trailer release for the movie generated excitement, though living up to the success of the first Chandramukhi instalment will be challenging. The audience awaits eagerly to see if Kangana can steal the show in this much-anticipated sequel.
