Controversial filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s Lakshmi’s NTR got a worldwide release except for Andhra Pradesh. The AP High Court has stalled the film’s release till April 3 over hearing the petition. As per the judge, a special screening will be organised on April 3 in the judge’s chamber at 4pm where film’s producers Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balaigri will be present too.
The movie chronicles the life of late NTR after the entry of Lakshmi Parvathi. Apart from showing the bond between Lakshmi Parvathi and NTR, it shows the infamous incident of Viceroy Hotel that created a flutter in Andhra Pradesh politics where Chandrababu ‘backstabbed’ NTR. While Lakhsmi’s NTR is releasing across the world expect in Andhra Pradesh, as the High Court has passed stay on its release.
