On July 24, 2024, a Saurya Airlines plane bound for Pokhara crashed during takeoff at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal. The flight was carrying 19 people, including two crew members and 17 technicians who were traveling to Pokhara for maintenance checks. Tragically, 18 passengers, including the aircrew, lost their lives in the incident. The pilot was transported to a nearby hospital, but no further details regarding their condition have been released.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing the aircraft on fire, releasing a significant plume of smoke. Rescue operations were promptly carried out by police and firefighters.
