Plot
Subbu(Bellamkonda Ganesh) is a college student who loves the iPhone. One fine day, he buys a new iPhone and this lands him in big trouble. Crores of money get deposited into his account and he is also framed in a murder case. Subbu, who is just a college student is in severe tension about all these new happenings due to his new iPhone. How a normal college student comes out of this case is the story of Nenu Student Sir.
Performances
Bellamkonda Ganesh is taking up films that showcase him as an actor and more than a hero. He is not playing the main lead and looks like he is one of those characters and this is good for him. Performance wise too, he has improved a lot. His body language, however, needs to develop as he look stiff in many scenes. Sunil plays a brief role and he impresses in the last half an hour. Samuthirakni gets a key role and he creates an impact.

Analysis
Director Krishna Chaitanya has provided the story and it is pretty good. The scams related to unacclaimed accounts and the manner in which it is related to a student played by Ganesh are set up well in the film. Rakesh Uppalapati has directed this film and he has given a good message about the scams that are haunting society these days.
Sunil plays a key role and once he enters the scene, the proceedings start getting more grip. The way his character is showcased gives the film a good edge. As stated above, the screenplay of the film is a letdown. If it had been even tighter, the film would have been a racy thriller. But that does not happen as the screenplay lacks focus in key areas.
Mahati Swara Sagar’s music is decent, and the Maaye Maaye song was good on screen. Anith Madhadi’s camera work is good and the rest of the production values were okay. The thrills are decent but it takes a while to get invested into them.
In a way, the makers have done a good job of presenting the story in a decent manner. If you ignore the slow pace, Nenu Student Sir ends as a passable thriller this weekend. Watch it without any expectations.
