Story

Aadhi (Kalyan) is a chief, who runs his own restaurant. Although visually challenged but that doesn’t hamper him in raking life heads on and won over his disability. Kalyan has support from his family, and friends who complete him. When things go smooth, he happens to meet Vennela (Taapsee Pannu), who walks into his restaurant. A sparkle happens between them and the two think they are made for one-another and happens to take a plunge about their relationship. But Vennela’s sudden disappearance leaves a void in his life. Why she disappeared and how Kalyan takes the help of his childhood friend Anu (Ritika Singh) and constable Chokka Rao (Vennela Kishore) to trace Vennela forms the crux of the plot.

Artiste Performances

Aadhi swept off us our feet with his acting prowess in Sarrainodu, Ninu Kori and Rangasthalam. And he shined in Neevevaro as a lead actor in the action thriller genre. He portrayed the role of visually challenged very well and in the second half he impressed with his action sequences. Taapsee Pannu has cemented a position in Bollywood and has been often seen in critically appreciated films. Taapsee’s role as Vennela which has a negative tinge to her character adds as an advantage and helps in taking the proceedings forward. Ritika Singh as a journalist has bagged a meaty role after Guru. Her role gets a lot of screen presence in the second half, while Vennela Kishore as the constable is n his perfect role. His comic timing relaxes the tense proceedings tickling your bones for a good ride.

Analysis

The film is the remake of Tamil film Adhey Kangal, but director Harinath has changed the plot to suit the taste of Telugu audience. For instance, showing up Aadhi in a stylish avatar and adding action scenes to match the nativity of Telugu audience has certainly worked out. However, the film hasn’t lived up to the expectation of a thriller genre like, unlike fast proceedings and edge-of-the-seat moments are given a miss. The film also falls sluggish due to lack of weak narration.

Music has been rendered well, especially the song sung by Sid Sriram, but the background score is not impressive. Cinematography has added breath of freshness to the tale, but editing is not crisp.
