Kerala State Film Awards 2024
The 54th Kerala State Film Awards were announced on August 16 recognizing some of the finest talents in the industry. Prithviraj Sukumaran took home the Best Actor award for his powerful performance in Aadujeevitham. The Best Actress award was shared by Urvashi and Beena R. Chandran. Meanwhile, Kaathal: The Core, starring Mammootty was honored as the Best Film.
National Film Awards 2024
On the same day, the prestigious 70th National Film Awards were also revealed. Rishab Shetty bagged the Best Actor award for his role in Kantara while Nithya Menen won Best Actress for her performance in Thiruchitrambalam. Telugu film Karthikeya 2 bagged Best Telugu Film Awards for the year 2022.
OTT Release of Kalki 2898 AD
Nag Ashwin’s ambitious sci-fi project Kalki 2898 AD continues to create waves. After a stellar box office run, the Prabhas-starrer is set to release on OTT platforms. The Hindi version will debut on Netflix on August 22, while the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam versions will be available on Amazon Prime Video.
