Following the success of Soggade Chinni Nayana, King Nagarjuna announced a spinoff of that film, called Bangarraju. The movie was supposed to go on floors long back but is failing to do so due to various reasons. The latest reports from the tinsel town reveal that this movie will finally start rolling in early 2021. Bangarraju was actually supposed to start in early 2020. However, as Nagarjuna was not entirely satisfied with the script and the subsequent COVID-19 pandemic have affected the launch of the movie.

Apparently, director Kalyana Krishna has made all the necessary changes in the script and got a nod from Nag as well. Nag will start shooting for this movie once he gets done with his ongoing project Wild Dog. Already, Kalyana Krishna started music sessions with composer Anup Rubens. Ramya Krishna will reprise her role from the original and we also hear that Naga Chaitanya will play a key role in the movie.
