Naga Vamsi’s insensitive remarks on Urvashi Rautela spark outrage

The recently released song “Dabidi Dibidi” from the upcoming action film Daaku Maharaj, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna and Urvashi Rautela, has sparked significant controversy. Criticism has emerged over the choreography, which many netizens have deemed vulgar and cringe-worthy. Additionally, the considerable age gap between 64-year-old Balakrishna and 30-year-old Rautela has drawn attention.

The dance, choreographed by Shekhar Master, features provocative moves, including Balakrishna striking Rautela’s belly and slapping her behind. Critics have labeled the choreography as “sleazy” and the music as “offensive trash.”

Meanwhile, In a recent event, producer Naga Vamsi added fuel to the fire when asked why Urvashi was cast despite Pragya and Shraddha being potential choices. His response, “They didn’t agree to beat them, so we cast Urvashi,” was seen as dismissive and disrespectful. Many have criticized his remarks, calling them derogatory toward Urvashi and unprofessional.

This controversy follows Naga Vamsi’s previous comments criticizing Bollywood, particularly highlighting the success of Pushpa 2 and its impact on Bollywood producers. His latest statement has only amplified the backlash, with many accusing him of making cheap remarks about women.

Despite the criticism, the makers of Daaku Maharaj have yet to address the situation, while calls for reshooting the song grow louder. The film is set to release on January 12, but the controversies surrounding it might overshadow its debut.
