Naga Chaitanya has been facing a series of disappointments in his recent film outings, with none of them managing to be a hit. However, the actor has now teamed up with Vikram K Kumar, who previously delivered a blockbuster with Manam. But this time, it’s not for a movie; they’re collaborating on a web series titled Dootha.
The making of the Dootha series has been in progress for several months, leading some to speculate that it had been abandoned by Amazon. However, the latest reports indicate that the series is finally gearing up for an OTT release.
Apart from Manam, Naga Chaitanya and Vikram K Kumar had previously worked together on the movie Thank You, which turned out to be a box office disaster. Interestingly, before the release of Thank You, they had already started working on the web series “Dootha.” Vikram hinted that in this outing, Chaitu would be seen in a negative role, and the shooting has already been completed.
The rights for the series have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video, and now, the Dootha web series is set to make its OTT debut. The dubbing work is in progress for various languages, including Telugu and Tamil. The series is scheduled for release in November, coinciding with Naga Chaitanya’s birthday.
Fans had been eagerly waiting for updates about the series, and the positive news about its release date is bringing new excitement. The first season of Dootha will consist of eight episodes, each with an approximate runtime of 40 minutes. The final touches are being put on the series, and Amazon is expected to announce its release date after quality control checks are completed.
