Big trouble ahead for Naga Chaitanya and nithin’s next films

In Tollywood, even if a movie’s release date is decided six months in advance, problems and competition can still arise especially for medium-range heroes. This has become a major concern.

Fans remember how many movies were affected last year when Salaar Part 1 was suddenly moved from September to December. Some films’ openings were hit while others flopped due to bad timing. It looks like December 2024 might face similar issues. Naga Chaitanya’s “Thandel” and Nithin’s “Robin Hood” are both set to release on December 20. Despite being different genres, their directors and producers thought this would be fine.

However, the latest news is that “Pushpa 2: The Rule,” initially set for an August release, is now considering a Christmas release just like its first part. Since “Thandel” is produced by Geetha Arts, avoiding this clash might be easier. Meanwhile, “Robin Hood,” produced by Mythri movies, would also require to change its release date.

This means “Thandel” and “Robin Hood” either need to be released earlier or shift to the next year. Even if “Pushpa 2” moves to October, it doesn’t solve the problem. Producer Dil Raju is discussing with director Shankar about releasing Ram Charan’s Game Changer”l in either October or December.

Whether it’s Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2” or Ram Charan’s “Game Changer,” both big films are likely to release at the end of the year. Planning release dates for pan-India movies has become very unpredictable. This uncertainty seems to be a never-ending story for Tollywood.

The release calendar in December is a concern for medium-range heroes like Naga Chaitanya and Nithin as they face stiff competition from bigger stars and their films. This could impact their box office success significantly.
