Naga Chaitanya, Akhil, and Nagarjuna: Struggling for release dates

The Akkineni family is currently facing significant delays in their movie releases, leading to confusion among their fans. Three generations—Naga Chaitanya, Akhil Akkineni, and Nagarjuna—are all grappling with scheduling issues for their films, each for different reasons.

Naga Chaitanya’s movie Thandel is at the center of speculation as it still lacks a confirmed release date. Fans were optimistic about a Christmas launch, especially given Chaitanya’s previous successes during the holiday season. However, it seems unlikely since the film might not have completed its censorship process. Many are now hoping for a Sankranti release, but the production team has not shared any updates. If Sankranti doesn’t work out, fans may have to wait for a Republic Day release in late January.

On the other hand, Akhil Akkineni is preparing for a transformation for a Pan-India project produced by UV Creations. He is also considering a historical drama directed by Murali Kishore under Annapurna Studios. However, there are no definitive plans for Akhil’s sixth film until production begins.

Nagarjuna, meanwhile, is waiting for the release of his film Kubera, directed by Shekhar Kammula. Nag initially aimed for a Sankranti release, aligning it with his past successes, but now it seems the release might be pushed to Shivratri. He is also cautious about releasing his film alongside Rajinikanth’s Kooli, which is still a work in progress.

This unique scenario leaves both a father and his two sons navigating the same struggle of securing ideal release dates for their films.
