Tollywood actor Akkineni Naga Chaitanya has become the new owner of the well-known motorsport racing team, Hyderabad Blackbirds (HBB). This team is famous for its presence in the Indian Racing League. It is now preparing for the first season of the Formula 4 Indian Championship, organised by Racing Promotions Private Limited (RPPL).
Naga Chaitanya’s love for motorsport, especially Formula 1, supercars, and motorcycles, played a significant role in his decision to invest in this racing team. He’s thrilled to be part of the Indian Racing League and believes it’s a fantastic platform for young talents to showcase their skills.
In their first year in the Indian Racing League, Hyderabad Blackbirds performed remarkably well. Their drivers, Akhil Rabindra and Neel Jani secured the first and second positions in the Drivers’ Championship, and as a team, they finished second in the Teams’ Championship. Now, they’re aiming even higher by participating in the FIA-certified Formula 4 Indian Championship.
Akhil Reddy, the Chairman and Managing Director of RPPL, warmly welcomed Naga Chaitanya’s involvement. He highlighted Chaitanya’s passion for motorsport and how it will contribute to the sport’s growth in India.
