Nag Ashwin’s next to be with THIS Bollywood actress?
Nag Ashwin, the director of Kalki 2898 AD, is reportedly in discussions with Bollywood star Alia Bhatt for a new pan-India movie. Following the success of his last film, Ashwin is said to be planning a female-led project, with Alia Bhatt in talks to play the lead role.
According to reports, Alia, who is currently working on a spy film with Yash Raj Films, is considered a great fit for Ashwin’s upcoming movie. A source mentioned that the film’s main character demands emotional depth and resilience, qualities that Alia has demonstrated in her previous roles.
Though official confirmation is still pending, sources close to the development have shared that both the director and the actress are eager about this collaboration. The movie, which will be produced by Vyjayanthi Films, is expected to begin production in late 2025.
This isn’t Alia’s first pan-India film. She was previously part of RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, which gained international acclaim, even winning a Golden Globe and an Oscar for its song “Naatu Naatu.”
Nag Ashwin’s decision to approach Alia for the project stems from her history of portraying strong female characters. Fans are eagerly awaiting official announcements regarding this exciting collaboration.
