In times when getting good non-theatrical rights was tough, Nagarjuna’s Naa Saami Ranga achieved remarkable success. Reports suggest it raked in a hefty 32 crores from non-theatrical rights alone. The digital and satellite rights found buyers in Maa TV and Hotstar, while the Hindi dubbing rights went to a third party, contributing to this substantial earnings figure.
Chitturi Srinu, the producer, invested significantly, with an estimated expenditure of 45 crores. A notable portion, around 12 crores, reportedly went to Nagarjuna as his remuneration. Despite this substantial spending, around three-quarters of the total cost has been recuperated. Nagarjuna is personally overseeing the film’s distribution through his company, Annapurna Studios, offering non-returnable advances in some places and collaborating with distributors like Geeta, Annapurna, and Dil Raju in others.
As the trailer launch approaches, expectations are high for the films though Nagarjuna’s past films scored disasters.
The movie has garnered a considerable buzz lately, and it is heard that it’s also because of Nagarjuna’s involvement in the film and distribution.
Scheduled to compete with four other films during the festival, the movie aims to capture audience attention. Its ensemble cast, coupled with Nagarjuna’s strategic distribution approach, has contributed to its rising anticipation among movie enthusiasts.
Under Pawan Kumar’s presentation, Naa Sami Ranga promises an engaging cinematic experience. Allari Naresh and Raj Tarun play pivotal roles, while Ashish Ranganath portrays the female lead.
