‘Makkal Selvan’ Vijay Sethupathi had pulled out of Muttiah Muralidharan’s biopic ‘800’ following severe criticism by Tamil people. Muttiah Muralidharan himself penned a letter publicly asking Vijay to opt-out of the movie. Titled 800, the film is still on the cards. The producers are in talks with other actors to play Muralidharan in the movie.The Kollywood media reports reveal that the film unit initially approached Dhanush to play the lead role, but he declined the offer.
Later, Vijay Setupathi came on board, but he opted out of the movie.Recently, the film’s writer Shehan Karunatilaka appealed to people to give the creators of the movie the chance to make the film and then arrive at an opinion.The producers are still in talks with other actors, and they want the film to be made at any cost. M S Sripathy was on board to direct the movie. Dar Motion Pictures and Movie Train Motion Pictures collaborated to produce the film.
