Murmur OTT: When and where to watch Tamil horror film
The Tamil horror movie Murmur, which made its theatrical debut on March 7, 2025, is now ready to stream online. This film has gained attention for being the first-ever “found footage” style horror movie in Tamil cinema. The story revolves around a group of paranormal investigators from Chennai who explore a haunted forest.
Murmur will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Tentkotta from April 4, 2025. The news was confirmed by film industry tracker Ramesh Bala who shared that the film is best experienced in a dark room with a good sound system or earphones for maximum effect.
The plot of Murmur follows a group of YouTubers who document supernatural activities. They enter a cursed forest to investigate the mysterious “Seven Saptha Kannigal” and an angry spirit that’s said to haunt the area. As they record their journey, strange things begin to happen. The team members face their personal fears and slowly vanish one by one. Later, the police find their footage but no trace of the people, leaving many questions unanswered.
The cast includes Devraj, Richie Kapoor, Yuvikha Rajendran, Aria Selvaraj and Suganya Shanmugam among others. The film is directed and written by Hemnath Narayanan. Cinematography is done by Jason Williams and editing by Rohith V. Sound plays a major role in the storytelling, with Kewyn Frederick handling the audio design.
