Yesterday, YS Avinash Reddy, who is currently serving as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kadapa, officially submitted his nomination papers in Kadapa with the hope of securing the seat for another term. However, there is a shadow over his candidacy as he is one of the main suspects in the murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy. In his nomination affidavit, Avinash openly acknowledged his involvement in two criminal cases related to Viveka’s murder. He mentioned that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has charged him with serious offenses including murder, destruction of evidence, and conspiracy. Avinash informed that the case is currently being processed in the CBI court in Nampally, where he is identified as A8 in the murder case. Additionally, he revealed that another case has been filed against him in Mydakuru.
Turning to his financial details, Avinash disclosed that he and his wife, Samatha, jointly own assets worth Rs. 25.51 crores (25,51,19,305). Among these assets is an Innova car valued at Rs. 32.75 lakhs. Avinash declared ownership of 27.40 acres of land spread across Velamavaripalle in Pulivendula Mandal, Bhakarapuram, and Aankalammaguduru. He also mentioned that his wife possesses land totaling approximately 33.90 acres in Vishakapatnam, Valluru in the YSR district, Ootukuru, and Ponakamitta.
All in all, YS Avinash Reddy’s nomination for re-election comes amidst serious allegations and ongoing legal proceedings related to the murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy. While declaring his financial assets, Avinash provided insights into his and his wife’s property holdings. The outcome of the election and the legal cases against him will likely have significant implications for his political career and personal life.
