When flops continue to dog and hits continue to elude you, there is one surefire formula that every Tollywood hero uses. Make a remake. Yes. Instead of going in for a new story, go for a tried and tested hit from other language and remake it.
Victory Venkatesh knows this art and most of his films like Guru, Bodyguard and others are remakes from other languages. Now, it appears even younger crop of heroes is following this trend. Yes. Sundeep Kishan is now remaking a Tamil hit. Sundeep has a string of flops to his credit. Similarly, Naga Chaitanya has already remade Premam and is now exploring the possibility of another remake.
Sundeep Kishan Take To Remake Route
The latest is that Sharwanand is trying to remake hit Tamil film Jigarthanda. Senior hero Ravi Teja is mulling over remakes and if Amar Akbar Anthony flops, he is likely to remake a Tamil Hit. Even Nagarjuna is planning to remake Vikram Veda.
Interestingly, Tamil heroes are remaking Hindi films. So, its Hindi to Tamil to Telugu. But, make or remake, the director and the unit have to work hard to ensure success.
