After the members resigned and the AMMA governing committee, that is head of AMMA’s branches and executive, has been heads of several boards, AMMA made an official explanation concerning the resignation. Being put on record, the collective resignations are not a reactive approach to individuals but a preemptive step aimed at restoring moral order in the AMMA.

In the context of the above allegations, the present governing body of AMMA showed an act of contrition, implying accepting moral responsibility and all members prophylactically resigned. A new governing body will be elected within two months at the general meeting. At the same time, the outgoing governing body will remain in a temporary touch to allow AMMA to continue with its current programs and repair services for its revered members,” the statement read.

The concluding outline of the statement offered some prospects for the organization and its future activities: “Thank you for your efforts and we hope that AMMA will enrich the Committee with new leaders.”

The dissolved executive committee also had well-known actors associated with the Malayalam film industry, including Joy Mathew, Tovino Thomas, Jagadish, Jayan Cherthala, Tini Tom, Baburaj, Suraj Venjaramodu, Kalabhavan Shajon, Suresh Krishna, Ananya Sarayu, and Jomol Ansiba Vinu Mohan among others.
