Suraj Venjaramoodu and Soubin Shahir played the lead roles in the Malayalam movie Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25, released in November last year. The movie grabbed three Kerala State Awards that are announced recently. Suraj grabbed the Best Actor award for his realistic performance in the film. Versatile actor Mohan Babu is looking at reprising Suraj’s role in the Telugu remake of the film. Manchu Vishnu has picked the movie’s remake rights and is working on the script changes currently.
Set in a village, the story of Android Kunjappan Ver 5.25 revolves around Bhaskaran (played by Suraj), who lives with a Robot assembled by his son, who lives in Russia. The film explores an emotional relationship between father-son.
Mohan Babu signed a film under the direction of Diamond Ratnababu. As soon as he wraps up, the actor wants to begin the shoot for this remake. However, there is no official confirmation on the same.
On the other hand, the Telugu dubbed version of the movie is available on the Aha platform.
