Plot
‘Mistake’ created a huge buzz in recent times with its promotional content on social media. Before seeing how it fares at the box office, let us see if it has any juice in it. The story is about three love pairs, played by Ajay Kathurvar, Sujith Kumar, Teja Ainampudi, Karishma Kumar, Taniya Kalrra, and Priya Paul. On their way to an adventurous trek into the jungle, the bunch is being incessantly chased by a dreadful-looking man (Abhinav Sardhar) who believes that the gang possess diamonds. The gang consisting of two techies, a priest, and a fashion stylist is completely unaware of why they are being chased. One of the two women, who accompanied the guys, is the daughter of an ACP (Raja Ravindra). How do they escape from the baddie? What’s in store for them while losing their whereabouts in the jungle is the story to watch.
Performances
The performance of Big Boss Ajay in the role of Agastya is good. Teja Ainampudi as Karthik and Sujith Kumar as Dev are good in a few comedy scenes. Their punchlines and action sequences drew good whistles. Priya, Tania and Nayan who acted as the leading ladies have chipped in well and have done a decent job within the space.
On the other hand, Abhinav Sardar, who appeared as a villain, is frightening. The action sequences of Abhinav are good. Actors Raja Ravindra and Sameer performed in their portions. The rest of the characters have put up a decent job.

Analysis
It is quite hard to play with one subject in a given story. To make the audience engaged, the story needs a twist at the 30th minute only then people would show interest in the plot. Director Bharat has done whatever he could to entertain audiences. The twist unravels in the second half and just before the interval bang, there’s a surprise. The narrative becomes pacy from then on. The whole second half keeps you on the edge. Action sequences in between are entertaining yet evoke comedy. The pre-climax sequence has more surprising elements.
Director Bharath Komalapati, who just had experience of directing a film, tried to generate fun while keeping the pace alive. There is action and comedy simultaneously when the gang enters the deep jungle. Being a first-timer, Bharath did a good job as a director as he handled the script very well.
Dialogues penned by Sriharsha Manda are a little bland but worked out well in a few comedy scenes. Mani Zenna’s music is okayish. Hari Jasthi’s cinematography tried to beautify the forest landscape.
Bottom Line – Mistake is saved by the gripping second half
