Taapsee makes a comeback to Telugu films with a film titled Mishan Impossible which has released today. Read on to see if the film has any juice in it or not.
Plot
Three young kids named Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram make an abnoxious plan of nabbing Dawood Ibrahim and becoming rich overnight. But what they do not is that the outside word is so cruel that it leads them into all sorts of issues one after the other. What kind of issues did they face? Who saved them? forms the rest of the story.
Performances
Taapsee sleep walks in her role. She is the main brain child in nabbing the criminal but director fails to showcase her in a powerful manner. Harsh Roshan who play Taapsee’s side kick is pretty decent in his role. The main villain is good and Satyam Rajesh was effective. The three kids are the highlight and perform like established actors which was good to see.
What’s Good
Backdrop
A few thrills
Comedy
What’s Bad
Logicless story
Dull narration
Lack of strong emotional hold
Analysis
Mishan Impossible has been directed by Swaroop who made the hit film Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya. His set up is different and using the kids as the protoganists of the film is also neat. But he fails badly with his execution.
The manner in which he starts the film and establishes the whole storyline is also neat. In the second half too the film has decent moments. But the last half an hour and the manner in which the kids deal with the whole child trafficking nexus looks way over the top and has no value.
A good story is killed during this time and the scenes are also quite logically wrong. The visuals are neat and the BGM adds weight but in all this the soul of the film is missed.
Had the director made sure that things are shown in a realistic manner and brought Taapsee’s character into the first things would have been quite good. But sadly that doesn’t happen and the film ends on a dull note making it a below par watch. Collections widlse, the film will get crumbled in the wave of RRR.
Bottom line – Good script gone wrong
