Meka Suri is a Telugu film that garnered special attention when it was released in July this year. Now, the second part of the movie is streaming on Zee5. Trinadh Velisala is the director of the film. Touted to be a crime thriller, the film is produced by Simba Entertainment.
Story:
After killing the last man responsible for his wife’s death, Meka Suri (Abhinay) decides to serve justice to other women who have faced atrocities at the hands of men by taking the law into his hands. In the process, ACP Arjun (Pramod) works on catching Meka Suri. The rest of the plot is following Arjun’s investigation to find out more about Meka Suri.
Actors & Performances:
Abhinay played the main lead in the film as Meka Suri. He maintained a perfect look and physique to bring a believable factor to his character. His realistic acting is impressive. Pramod also played his part well, and all the other actors could not put impressive performances. Performances wise, there is much to talk about the actors.
Analysis:
Like the first part of the movie, Meka Suri 2 also revolves around the lead character and the other people associated with his role. The film runs through Suri’s point of view and touches no other angle. The director tried to include suspense elements and emotional elements in equal proportion, but nothing worked out. The rawness in the making and execution of the film is a little overboard. Most of the scenes appear slow in the flow. There is not much of a story in the film, but the director drove the movie in creating suspense to the audiences but failed to focus on elevating the key conflict in the movie.
Meka Suri’s character also gets elevated improperly. More focus went on elevating his character than creating an impact with storytelling. The slow pace in the narration also results in losing connection with the movie. Although the film started on a good note, the unnecessary scenes that followed diluted the interest in watching the movie. Technically, the film has nothing great. The music failed to elevate the film, especially during the emotional scenes. Most of the time, the score is loud. The cinematography is average. The editing is okay.
There is a scope in creating a strong impact with storytelling, but the director failed to impress. We feel that there is no necessity for the second part as it has nothing fresh to offer. The flashback is not at all engaging. The few scenes that are good give us routine feels. Meka Suri is better than this second part in a lot of aspects. On the whole, this second part is a big disappointment and a bore-fest.
