Undoubtedly, this handy work can be done only by Balayya fans. At a time when the producers of ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ are facing IT raids at their offices, these posters have added more fuel to it.
Balayya’s film ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ was released on Sankranti this year along with Megastar Chiranjeevi’s ‘Waltair Veerayya’. But Balayya’s film fizzled out at the box office as ‘Waltair Veerayya’ registered good numbers. Everyone knew that Megastar edged out Balayya in terms of box office collections.
Marking the completion of 100 days of ‘Veera Simha Reddy’, Balayya fans designed a 100 days poster and pasted in various junctions in the city. They claim that Nandamuri Balakrishna has single-handedly scored a century whereas Megastar failed to do it. They argue that Megastar can’t take the credit of ‘Waltair Veerayya’ as it is a multi-starrer film. So the credit is shared between Ravi Teja and Megastar. But whereas ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ credit goes to Balayya.
Eventually, this perspective made Megastar fans angry. Some of these posters were torned apparently by angry mega fans.
